Criterion of the efficiency of turbulent fluctuations correction with deformable mirror

Paper Abstract

The results of the adaptive correction the turbulent distortions of the laser radiation depending on the statistical properties of the random phase screen are presented. The quantitative estimations of the efficiency of the turbulent distortions correction with deformable mirror are obtained by means of the model of the dynamic turbulence. It is defined the value of the dispersion of the phase fluctuations for the distorting turbulent screen, that provides the efficient correction by means of the deformable mirror. In this case there is the dependence of the growth of the correction quality in accordance with the increasing of the freedom degrees of the deformable mirror. Also it is defined the interval that includes the values of the dispersion of the phase fluctuations of the turbulent screen for some the correction with deformable mirror not only is non-effective but also is conduced to the considerable decreasing of the concentration of the light field in the observation plane.
