Absorption properties of a weak probe field in a four-level atomic medium

Paper Abstract

We study the absorption properties of a weak probe field in a four-level atomic system. By employing a strong driving field, we investigate the Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) in this system. We show that, in certain condition, the absorption peak vanishes and the medium become transparent to the weak probe field.
