Study on 1.06μm laser atmospheric propagation transmittance

Paper Abstract

In order to enhance 1.06μm laser atmospheric propagation transmittance, 1.06μm laser atmospheric propagation is researched. Firstly, laser atmospheric propagation property was analyzed. Then 1.06μm laser atmospheric transmittance formula was approximatively concluded. And then 1.06μm laser atmospheric transmittance in low elevation was calculated. Finally, some data and conclusions about 1.06μm laser atmospheric propagation in low elevation were obtained. (1) The atmospheric propagation transmittance in low elevation is low. Suppose that laser atmospheric propagation distance is 5 kilometer, when weather is very bad, atmospheric transmittance is almost zero. Even when weather is very fine, atmospheric transmittance is still under 50 percent. (2) Suppose that visibility is invariable. The atmospheric transmittance increases slowly when elevation increases. (3) Suppose that elevation is invariable. The atmospheric transmittance increases obviously when visibility increases. (4) Suppose that elevation and visibility are invariable. The atmospheric transmittance increases obviously when propagation distance decreases.
