Paper Abstract

The analytical expressions of coherence spectrum and phase spectrum of lidar signal calculated by isotropic fluctuations approach are presented. Clear analytical dependency of the spectra from a mean velocity value, variance of velocity and their ratio, as well as the dependency from the value of the turbulences external scale, size of scattering volumes, distances between them and orientation of separate distance to direction of the mean wind velocity is received. These formulas allow calculating the values of mean velocity and variances of speed component using measured coherence and phase spectra on fixed frequency and given geometries of sensing. These contribution separations of regular and pulsing components of velocity in the lidar signal spectra enable to increase accuracy and range of the measurements when the spectral methods of the processing are used.
