Paper Abstract

The results of the study of resonance Raman (RR) spectra for the solutions of hematoporphyrin derivative (HPD) are presented. The dependence of spectrum structure on the excitation wavelength and the influence of nature of the solvent on HPD RR lines were studied. It was shown that a change in HPD concentration in solutions has a slight influence on the Raman bands of HPD associated with the framework vibrations of a microcycle and is pronounced more markedly in vibrations of side chains and in a low-frequency spectral region. The substitution of a solvent results in a change of a half-width for a number of lines and in redistribution of their intensities. The variations observed are analyzed in terms of th existence of different forms of HPD molecules in solutions. Special attention is given to the influence of photochemical processes proceeding in HPD on the RR spectrum. For this purpose a study of spectra under different excitation conditions was carried out including single- and two-frequency irradiation of a sample. The results of the RR spectra study are compared with the data obtained from luminescence spectra of the compound. 1.
