Paper Abstract

From the generalized Kramers-Kronig relations for the complex reflectance, additional phase shifts arise due to singularities in the Fresnel formulae. These phase corrections are calculated for the reflection from a semi-infinite absorbing medium for s- and p-polarization at arbitrary angles of incidence for all possible cases.
