Low-to-high blue inorganic write-once media

Paper Abstract

With the advantages of low cost, portability and compliance with ROM disk, write once media have become the most popular storage media for computer and audio/video application. Several write once recording materials, such as TeO[1], TeOPd[2], and Si/Cu [3] AlSi[4] have been proposed to realize inorganic write once media which are high to low disks. However, Toshiba and NEC have proposed a low to high rewritable media for blue laser disk.[5] Therefore, we develop a novel write once media to meet these properties. In this paper, we report the static and recording characteristics of write once media.
