Free-flight flow field investigation on physical range

Paper Abstract

The paper introduces the quantitative investigation of free-flight axisymmetric density field by laser holographic interferometry in physical range in CARDC. The free-flight flow field holographic interferogram and shadow picture of a sphere of 12mm in dia. at M=15 have been given. At the same time, the experimental result is compared with the computational flow field interferogram obtained by CFI. In the end, the quantitative gas density distributions and the separate distance between the bow shock wave and the sphere have been obtained.
