Paper Abstract

We have developed a 86 mm MO disk on the basis of 3D thermal analysis of the disk mold and optimization of the protective layer. This disk shows excellent initial characteristics and reliability. This indicates we can manufacture high performance disks by using polycarbonate substrate.
