Paper Abstract

A flip-flop based 1:4 static frequency divider has been realized in a 0.35micrometers standard CMOS technology. Two 1:2 divider cells achieve the frequency division at more than 5 GHz. Each cell consumes 10mW from a 3.3V supply and occupies about 35X50micrometers +2) die area.
