Rectifying high-resolution images by using rectified low-resolution images

Paper Abstract

A new method, applicable in the case of lacking large-scale topographic maps and Ground Control Points (GCP), using small-scale topographic maps and multi-resolution remote sening images to perform image rectification in the order of image resolution increase, is proposed in this article. Extracting of linear feature instead of point feature to solve orientation elements and implementing least square matching in a much simpler way is also presented.
