Information characteristics of optical sensors

Paper Abstract

For application of optical sensors it is necessary to estimate their potential information characteristics. The offered method is based on a statistical estimation of representation of sensor's interaction area with object to be measured on comparison with a state of object as a whole and on account of the power characteristics of their interaction. The method uses the operator terms for an estimation of statistical distribution of fluctuation parameters in the area of interaction. Use of an offered method will allow obtaining objective estimations of application prospects of optical sensors.
