Paper Abstract

This paper considers color image compression using multiple transforms, i.e. multibase transform coding (MTC). We present a block MTC method. We present a method that both aims to utilize the variations in correlation structure between differrent channels in a multispectral image irrespective of the basis representation of the multicolor space and to reduce blocking effects by combining properties of block and wavelet transforms.
