High-resolution spectroscopy of uranium atom by laser-induced fluorescence method

Paper Abstract

High resolution spectroscopy were applied to measure the isotope shifts and hyperfine structures of atomic uranium including 236U and 234U isotopes. The isotope shifts between 234U, 235U, 236U and 238U, and the hyperfine structure of 235U were obtained in the even levels lying around 2 eV and high lying odd levels around 4 eV. In the 4 eV levels measurement, the data were obtained by the Doppler free two photon absorption technique.
