Paper Abstract

With gain switched quantum well DFB laser generating pulse width 40ps, period 400ps, utilizing 3dB optical fiber directional coupler concatenated and precisely control optical path of each arm, we fabricate 8 X 2.5Gb/s pulse multiplexer. Experimental results show that, This scheme exhibits uniform pulse span, small pulse fluctuation and low loss.
