Paper Abstract

In this paper, wavelength trimming technique which uses a lens to diverge or converge incident light on the phase mask during the fabrication of fiber Bragg gratings is theoretically analyzed. A more accurate formula for the wavelength shift is obtained and has been verified experimentally.
