Polynomial expansion for cylindrical domain walls in nematics

Paper Abstract

The time evolution of cylindrical domain walls in nematic liquid crystals is analyzed by means of a polynomial expansion of the director field. Analytical solutions are obtained for shrinking of the cylinder radius and the change of the wall width.
