Relaxation of photoelasticity in TGS+Cr3+ crystals

Paper Abstract

The relaxation of statistic photoelasticity of the anisotropic substrate have been measured for the first time. Examples for the crystals of TGS+Cr3+ are given. The mechanism of different sign relaxation and found on the initial phase of relaxation dependencies anomalies are discussed. The amplitudes and times of the elastic postaction must be taken in account when quick changed stresses are measured by photoelastic transformation device.
