Measurements of scintillation characteristics of PbWO4 crystals

Paper Abstract

The measurements of light yield of PbWO4 crystals with normal methods may have relatively large errors because the crystals have a low light yield. The measurements of light yield of PbWO4 crystals by single photoelectron method with normal radioactive sources are described. The results of the measurements for several PbWO4 samples produced by Beijing Glass Research Institute are reported. Also, scintillation decay times and relative light intensities of the samples are presented.
