Paper Abstract
A transverse radio frequency discharge excited, carbon-dioxide slab laser has been operated cw with a hybrid waveguide and unstable resonator to produce an output power of 54 W from the active volume of 280 by 40 by 2.5 mm3. An impedance matching network consists of coaxial cable lines and has not discrete L, C reactive elements.
