Paper Abstract

The fluorescence from a Nd:YAG slab with dimensions 6 X 22 X 202 mm3 showing a uniform distribution of pump light in the slab was observed. The refractive power of the slab under this condition was measured. As high as 547 W of average output power with the slab in an on-axis one dimension unstable resonator configuration has been obtained.
