Paper Abstract

This paper investigated theoretically the transmissions characteristics of three variants of fiber Fabry-Perot interferometers with fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) as reflectors (FBGFPI) with respect to grating coupling coefficient, FBGFPI length, and fiber loss based on coupled mode equations and matrix method. The influences of facet reflectivity, loss and gain of fibers are also investigated.
