Paper Abstract

A floor plan is an overhead view of the completed house. The authors have developed 3D visualization system of the floor plan. Our proposed system automatically makes 3D perspective images, and the observer can experience spatial images through the viewer such as a smart phone. Moreover we propose an automatic design system for fabricating paper pop-up parts of a construction model. This paper shows the automatic design algorithm of a construction model. The authors have researched single camera 3D measuring. The 3D measuring is generally performed by using a stereo camera, but spatial positioning information can be measured with a single camera under special conditions. This paper describes how to recognize a floor plan on the paper, to transform 2D to 3D constructing data and to fabricate paper modeling parts with a margin left for applying gluing paste.
