Fresnel diffraction by circular and serrated opaque disks under ultrashort pulse illumination

Paper Abstract

The Fresnel diffraction pattern by circular and serrated opaque disks under ultrashort pulsed-laser illumination is found to be significantly different from that under continuous wave (CW) illumination in the region of large Fresnel numbers. The Poisson's spot disappears if the edge of the disk is serrated.
