Wave propagation in absorbing film waveguides

Paper Abstract

On the basis of 4 x 4 matrix algebra is introduced the investigation of plane - wave propagation in absorbing film waveguides. Computer program has been developed for the solution of phase equation related to absorbing optical thin film systems. Especial attention is given to modes of the absorbing planar waveguides in the presence of the prism film coupler.
