Paper Abstract

Multimodal imaging based on digital holography is presented. There are two types of optical microscopes combined together. One is the digital holographic microscope for phase imaging and the other is epifluorescence microscope for fluorescence imaging. The integration of two optical microscopes is done by choosing the appropriate wavelengths and polarization states of light waves. Preliminary experimental results for biological tissue are presented. To realize 3D fluorescence imaging, incoherent digital holography is required. We present a promising technique based on the selfinterference using diffractive optical elements.
