Paper Abstract

The complex torsion-vibration energy level manifold of 13CD3OH has been investigated by FTIR spectroscopy in the 800- 1350 cm-1 region. At high resolution, numerous interesting spectral features and perturbations are observed, giving information on interactions among the various torsional states of the CD3-rocking, CO-stretching, CD3-deformation and OH-bending modes. Assignments are reported for five further FIR laser transition systems pumped in the CO-stretching band.
