Pressure broadening of H2O and HDO between 90k and 60k

Paper Abstract

The results of recent experiments of H2O and its singly deuterated form, HDO pressure broadened by He, H2, 02, and N2 will be presented. Low temperature measurements were made in a collisionally cooled cell with a continuously variable temperature between 80 K and 300 K. Several transitions of both H2O and HDO were studied between 90 K and 600K. Results for the temperature dependence of the pressure broadening parameters and collisional cross sections are discussed. Trend in the 300 K broadening parameter and temperature coefficient as a function of their quantum number are noted.
