Paper Abstract

A new dispersive Fourier transform spectrometer is designed to measure the real and imaginary parts of complex magnetic permeability and real and imaginary parts of complex dielectric permittivity as a continuous function of frequency, for the first time in the microwave frequency range as well as up to one millimeter wave frequency range. Our experimental results show that this spectrometer system has enough energy throughput and sensitivity to measure some very lossy and comparatively thicker ferrimagnetic materials. Data for Sr- ferrite material are presented
