Paper Abstract

White light sources are widely used in biomedical Optical Fiber Sensors (OFS). Such sources are available by pumped PCFs and utilize different nonlinear effects contribution to the supercontinuum (SC) generation. We show SC generation in various dispersion pumping regimes by PCFs manufactured with different value of zero dispersion wavelengths (ZDWs). As novelty we propose a PCFs’ geometry optimization method, so that they exhibit low sensitivity to ZDW changes due to technological inaccuracies. The presented results show flat or narrow SC generation in desired spectral range.
