Paper Abstract

The distributions of the field strength as well as of the energy flux in the vicinity of a small particle excited by an electromagnetic radiation are investigated. Analytical expressions of angular distribution of the energy flux are given. Numerical results are presented for the case of a single alumina particle suspended in air.
