Fabrication of two-dimensional monolayer polystyrene nanospheres on GaN-based LED surface

Paper Abstract

The fabrication studies of a closely packed monolayer polystyrene naonospheres arrays were performed on the p-GaN surface of a thin GaN-based light-emitting diodes. Based on a self-assembly of latex particles on water surface, it was possible to prepare large arrays. Scanning electron microscope shows that well-ordered two dimensional arrays from hexagonally packed polystyrene nanospheres have been obtained. An analysis of the mechanism of two-dimensional array formation is also presented.
