Paper Abstract

Recent progress at Deacon Research in fabricating periodic domain structures in bulk lithium niobate using E-field poling will be presented. Periodic structures have been fabricated for converting the frequency ofnear infrared diode lasers to the visible and mid-JR regions ofthe spectrum using quasi-phase matching. The prospects for fabricating commercially viable integrated optical devices will be discussed. Keywords: quasi-phase matching, frequency doubling, frequency mixing, optical parametric oscillation
