Paper Abstract

A laserrobot cell consisting of an industry robot, a fast axial flow COz-Laser with 5 kW output power and an external beam delivery system (BDS) is presented. The CAD-/CAM-interface named USIS (Universal SImulation System) enables off-line programming and simulation ofthe robot. A scanning lasersensor has been integrated in order to enable keeping the right focus distance to the surface and to follow the welding path.
