Paper Abstract

In this paper, a novel measurement method of multi-view 3D display for determining an optimum viewing distance (OVD) is proposed. Using this method, the OVD can be efficiently determined by analyzing ray tracing results from at least one view–point images of some local areas of a multi-view 3D display and position error of each view-point images formed from entire 3D display area can be also calculated depending on z-direction.
