Paper Abstract

Polarized FT-IR spectra of benzaldehyde (BA), terephthaloaldehyde (TPA), and terephthalophenone (TPP) were measured in oriented nematic solutions and processed further by means of the `stepwise reduction' procedure after Thulstrup and Eggers. Band assignments were made on this basis.
