Paper Abstract

The Yamamoto effect and the lateral interaction effect between two metal-insulator- semiconductor-switches (MISS) are discussed in this paper. Utilizing the lateral interaction between two MISS and the photosensitivity of the semiconductor, we have fabricated some experimental optical input shift registers (OISR). The optical and electrical characteristics of OISR have been studied theoretically and experimentally, their fabrication procedure and the experiment results are given as well.
