Paper Abstract

A common database is crucial for the rapid development of mammographic image analysis. It would enable valid evaluation of different techniques to be made in a meaningful manner. The current situation, each investigator using their own database, makes it impossible to determine which techniques are most useful or even the validity of a given technique.
