Paper Abstract

Nonstationary processes in multi-axial-mode solid-state lasers caused by combination mode coupling (fourwave mixing) were investigated in theory and experiment. The role of frequency nonequidistancy of the mode spectrum was analysed. Routes to chaos and instability character have been studied both for free-running generation and for the case of intracavity second harmonic generation ( " green problem " ). 1 .
