Paper Abstract

The manufacturing technique and experimental results for a narrowband holographic reflection filter that is linearly tunable over the 1.2 to 1.6 um wavelength region are described. The filters have greater than 90% reflection efficiency with spectral bandwidths less than 20 nm at full width at half maximum (FWHM). One application of this component is as a single-channel selector for wavelength-multiplexed optical fiber systems.
