Paper Abstract

A Nd/YAG based coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) system has been used in a variety of studies in inorganic chemistry and related fields. The results illustrate the strengths and limitations of CARS. Those described include high temperature vapors in sapphire cells (cesium sulfate and potassium perrhenate), and high temperature melts (potassium sulfate).
