Paper Abstract

Submillimeter-wave generation through optical difference frequency mixing technique in lithium niobate (LiNbO3) is discussed. Theoretical aspects as applicable in this connection are briefly considered. The possibility of utilizing frequencies within the spectral spread of solid state laser output for mixing purposes is reported.
