Paper Abstract

The thermal change of the refractive index in YAG slabs induced by pumping is calculated under the conditions of an approximately infinite slab and one dimension when the light is transmitted along the direction [111]. The experimental measurement is conducted by interferometry and the results measured are in good agreement with those of theoretical calculations.
