Measurement range of Talbot wavefront sensor

Paper Abstract

The possibilities of wavefront curvature measuring by the Talbot sensor are theoretically and experimentally investigated. The analytic expressions for measurement range are obtained. Operation of the wavefront sensor is illustrated with computer simulated spherical wavefront propagation through the two-dimensional periodic mask of the sensor system. The measurement range of the Talbot wavefront sensor is compared with the range of the Shack–Harmann wavefront sensor.
