Paper Abstract

An interesting way to display the temporal evolution of a speckle pattern produced by a slowly changing perturbation is presented. It is based on digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) concepts applied to 1-D slices of each frame of the time-evolving perturbation. The time history of a column of an image is depicted as a function of time. Correlation fringes are obtained by subtracting an unperturbed state from consecutive or alternate columns. Applications are suggested.
