We propose a simple tunable chirping technique for uniform Bragg gratings. This technique consists of the application of a uniform Bragg grating to a lateral side of a beam at a particular angle with respect to the beam neutral axis. We demonstrate that it is possible to obtain a tuned linear or quadratic chirp without a center wavelength shift by means of two bending geometries, a beam with simply supported ends and a cantilever beam.
